Description

MariaGiulia is a rosé wine of the same name of the granddaughter, the only daughter of the Consorti family, born after 65 years. With this “pink” wine the Consorti family wanted to remember and celebrate the wonderful event.

VARIETY: 100% Sangiovese
TRAINING SYSTEM: spurred cordon
VINEYARD: Vineyard of Paternostro
ALTITUDE: 220 meters above sea level
STRAINS DENSITY/HA: 4500
HARVEST TIME: manual harvesting in small boxes, second week of September
VINIFICATION TECHNIQUE: selection of the grapes in the field, de-stemming and soft pressing of the destemmed-crushed grapes. 2 hours of contact on the skins. Vinification in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature (14 ° C) for approx. 2 weeks with indigenous yeast. After the alcoholic fermentation, the wine is left on its fine lees for about 1 month. During the waning moon phase, the wine is decanted waiting for bottling.
SERVICE AT: 8-10 ° C
PAIRING: ideal as an aperitif, the good acidity makes it perfect for pairing with cheeses, dishes based on white meats, fish and vegetables.
BOUQUET: intensely fruity, hints of red apple and raspberry. Dry and soft on the palate with a good aromatic persistence.
