Description

In 1919 AnimErranti was born, son of a hot vintage but with perfect bunches, son of the fruit that explodes in the mouth with every taste. Lively, sincere, wandering, alive! A young Montepulciano, changeable to be enjoyed for the most impatient or to be kept in the cellar for vintage red wine lovers! To you the choice! Deliberately downgraded after ten years, our Montepulciano comes out of the DOC! People stay in the vineyard all year round! Almost! There are many processes we start at the end of February with pruning and we finish at the end of October with the harvest and preparation of the soil for
winter season.

LOCATION: 67030 Vittorito (AQ)
GRAPE VARIETY: 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo
ALTITUDE: 340 meters above sea level facing east south east.
SOIL TYPE: loose earth mixed with small gravels and with a decidedly more calcareous character.
TRAINING SYSTEM: row with short pruning, guyot.
YIELD: variable from year to year, very contained in the oldest vineyards (1960), it is around 60 quintals per hectare in the younger ones (1983-2008). In 2019, 62 quintals of Montepulciano were collected, 35 of which were destined only for the production of our red wine.
MANUAL ANNUAL PROCESSING: winter pruning, suckering, leaf removal. Manual weeding hoeing at the base of the plants (NO chemical herbicides). Mechanical weeding shredding.
FERTILIZATIONS: green manure (NO chemical fertilizers).
TREATMENTS: copper and sulfur. A total of 4 treatments were carried out in June.
SEASONAL PERFORMANCE: warm and regular vintage until the harvest of the grapes that have reached complete ripeness.
HARVEST: by hand in 20 kg crates, on the harvest moon day 22 October 2019.
