Arianna Occhipinti’s Frappato FL is a red wine of great texture, juicy, sour and sanguine, a drink of extraordinary vivacity. Expression of frappato in the Fossa di Lupo district, the most energetic, between biting acidity and austerity. Frappato is the wine par excellence, a wine that reflects its character and that tells the story of Vittoria’s territory in detail. To be drunk with unkempt hair from the wind, with a slice of pecorino primo sale with pepper to enhance even more an already perfect wine.

GRAPE VARIETY: Frappato di Vittoria.
SOIL TYPE: layer of sand with shades from red to brown with the presence of calcareous pebbles on the surface. Hard layer of rocky limestone over 40 cm.
VINEYARD EXTENSION: approx. 2 ha – C / da Fossa di Lupo.
TYPE OF PLANT: Sapling.
STRAINS DENSITY PER HA: 6,000.
AVERAGE AGE OF THE VINEYARD: 40 years.
AVERAGE PRODUCTION PER HA: 30 hl.
VINIFICATION AND AGING: destemming, maceration on the skins and spontaneous fermentation in 85 hl concrete vats for 25 days with daily pumping over and punching down. Racking and aging in the same containers for 6 months and in Austrian oak barrels for 12 months.
TOTAL SULFUR: 35 mg / l.
BOTTLES PRODUCED: 2.700.
FORMAT: 0.75 l.
