Colleformica Winery

From a historic country house located in Velletri, 40 km south of Rome, the small Colle Formica winery was born in 2018, from a family that for more than 100 years has owned and worked these almost 3 hectares of land in a sustainable and loving. Just over 1.5 hectares of vineyards in Malvasia and Trebbiano, with vines over 40 years old. For the red and rosé wine, the grapes (Sangiovese) come from a nearby plot of the vineyard. The vineyards are located at approximately 200 meters above sea level with a very rich volcanic soil with clayey components. Colle Formica produces its wines without any use of herbicides, pesticides, and chemical fertilizers. In the cellar, it is vinified only with indigenous yeasts, without temperature control and trying to add only the minimum possible sulfur. The lunar phases are followed for decanting and bottling.
